I bought my Life Fitness X8 Elliptical and love it. I used the Life Fitness Elliptical at my gym and started up with a personal trainer once a week and asked for his opinion of the best elliptical, he recommended the Life Fitness X8 for my particular height and weight and running style. I like to do sprint work and some long distance runs so quickly changing stride length helps me get the best possible workout. The only reason I went with 4 stars instead of 5 is I wish I could remove the arms - maybe that will be on the next upgraded model!

I purchased an x8 10/23/10. Shortly afterwards heard a noise coming from the right rear. Serviceman replaced coupler on 12/10/10. Heard another noise, this time serviceman on 4/20/11 said writing on belt was causing noise. Now hearing same noise from right rear. I did lots of research before purchase. Should've went precor. Also found out from serviceman, this is assembled in USA, however with foreign parts.

The Electronic Stride Adjustment makes my changes in speed throughout the workout really easy and keeps me moving instead of stopping to jump off and manually change the stride. DEFINITELY worth upgrading for this option.

The Life Fitness X8 Elliptical Trainer has helped me lose 12 lbs. in my first 2 months training on the product! I am getting an awesome cardio workout & calorie burn. This product has enough programs and workouts to mix it up so that things don't get boring. Working out every single day on this machine and now that I don't have to drive to the gym when I want to workout it's a lot easier to find 30 minutes free...LOVE IT.
